Cardiff Metropolitan University RFC won out in an 83-point battle against Bath University last Wednesday night to maintain their unbeaten home record in BUCS Super Rugby.
Having beaten Leeds Beckett 32-20 at Cyncoed the previous week, the Archers were in for another high scoring affair from the start as they raced into a 17-0 lead and stayed in front 24-6 at half-time. However, Bath hit back at the start of the second half nudging in front 24-26 before a back-and-forth last quarter saw the Met go 43-26 in front and then hold the visitors off for a 43-40 final score.
Meanwhile Cardiff University RFC were welcoming league leaders Durham University to Llanrumney and battling hard as they recovered from being 5-14 behind at the break to win the second half and claim a losing bonus point in a 17-20 loss.
The games don’t get easier though as third place Exeter are the next visitors to Llanrumney, while Met make the long trip to second place Loughborough.
