Posted by Coleg y Cymoedd produced a fine performance to earn a bonus point win and pip Cardiff & Vale College to top spot in the Cardiff Pathway Pool in the WRU College League.
After five rounds of being neck-and-neck, with CAVC just leading the way after winning the first fixture between the sides earlier in the season, Cymoedd’s 26-10 victory at Sardis Road saw them leapfrog their opposition into first place.
In the other game on Wednesday’s last round of pool games, Whitchurch High pushed Ysgol Glantaf all the way but fell to a 17-15 defeat with Glantaf securing third place in the table.
The results don’t impact qualification for the next phase of the competition though as both Coleg y Cymoedd and Cardiff & Vale College head into the Cup, Ysgol Glantaf will play for the Plate and Whitchurch will compete for the Bowl, alongside the equivalent teams from the other pools.
