Cardiff Met win out in 62-point thriller

Cardiff Met kept up their unbeaten start to the BUCS Super Rugby campaign with a high scoring win over Loughborough at Cyncoed on Wednesday night.

Fresh off winning the first Cardiff Clash of the season, the Archers had to come from behind a number of times, including going 0-10 down early on, but the boot of Brad Roderick-Evans kept the scoreboard ticking over before clinging on in the closing stages for a 32-30 win.

Meanwhile Cardiff Uni fell to a second defeat in as many weeks as they travelled to Exeter, featuring Christ Tshiunza in the second row just an hour after he was called up for the Wales senior squad for the Autumn Internationals, going down 37-8. The consolation try scored by Cardiff academy winger Jake Thomas on his debut.

Next week sees Met at home again as they welcome Hartpury making the short drive down from Gloucestershire, while Uni embark on the long trip to Loughborough.
