Cardiff loosehead prop Brad Thyer has joined Glasgow Warriors on a short-term loan for the start of the United Rugby Championship season.
The 28-year-old will link up with former Blue and Blacks Head Coach Danny Wilson at Scotstoun, where there is an injury crisis in the number one jersey after Oli Kebble, Jamie Bhatti and George Thornton were ruled out of action.
Thyer has made 86 appearances in all competitions since graduating through the Academy and making his first team debut during the 2014/15 campaign, as well as playing three times for the Rags. He came on as a replacement during Cardiff’s 2017/18 European Challenge Cup triumph over Gloucester in Bilbao.
He goes straight into the Glasgow squad for this weekend’s pre-season friendly against Worcester Warriors before competing for a spot in their opening game of the URC against Ulster.
