Cardiff U17 head coach Chadd Mutyambizi has named his side that will face Dragons U17 Black at Ystrad Mynach on Wednesday night, 7.15pm kick-off.

The Blue and Blacks are running a combined side in this mini-series of games having had a block of U16 South and North training at the end of last season, culminating in a fixture between the sides. A wider U17 training squad has also played games against Ysgol Glantaf and Coleg y Cymoedd over the last two weeks.

Now though the squad has been cut down ahead of three games over the next few weeks, and the first starting XV sees Ioan Emmanuel and Owen Popple form the prop pairing, with Evan Wood at hooker, Jack Payne and Harry Holden are the second row partnership, while Owen Conquer and Harry Beddal pack down on the flanks with Fletcher Barry at number eight.

In the backs Rhys Price and Harri Wilde are the half-back duo, Ethan Rudyj and Gethin Jones form the centre partnership, while Regan Nixson and Ben Geraghty line up either side of Tom Weekley in the back three.

George Payne, Cam Tyler-Grocott and Gavin Parry are the front row cover, Ewan McIntyre and Kyle Harris are the loose forward options, while Dan Buffrey, Dan Williams and Tom Bowen are the backs cover on the bench.
