Two more players who were in the Cardiff RFC squad of March 2020 have signed for new clubs as rugby begins to restart in Wales after the coronavirus pandemic.

Centre Jack Brooks has signed for Newport after making six competitive appearances for the Blue and Blacks. The 28-year-old initially appeared on permit from Championship side Tata Steel RFC at the back end of the 2018/19 campaign, before signing permanently that summer. He scored one try in the WRU National Cup win over Llanelli.

Fly-half Joe Scrivens has joined his local side Penallta RFC where he will act as vice-captain this season. The 26-year-old signed for the Rags in the summer of 2019 and played 16 times in all competitions, scoring 25 points including a winning last kick of the game over Pontypridd.

Brooks and Scrivens joined Kieran Martin, Zach O’Driscoll, Gareth Thompson, Joe Gatt, Teri Gee, Edd Howley and Mathew Powell as players from the pre-pandemic squad who are confirmed as having left the club.
