Cardiff Arms Park will host the entire U20 Six Nations this summer as the competition is held at one venue over a shortened timeframe due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Having been postponed from it’s usual slot running parallel to the senior tournament through February and March, it has moved to the time the World Rugby U20 Championship would take place June and July, with that competition cancelled for a second year running.
The shortened format will be similar to the World Rugby U20 Championship’s pool stage where the sides face each other with rest periods of just six days. A slight change will see matchday squads of 26, allowing up to 11 substitutions to be made.
Three games will take place consecutively on matchdays, with Wales starting against Italy, before facing Ireland, France and England, and then finishing against Scotland.
