First teamers return for Dragons clash

Cardiff Blues director of rugby Dai Young has made nine changes to the side that took the field against Ospreys last time out for the Rainbow Cup clash with Dragons this Sunday, 1pm kick-off.

The majority of the new faces are in the pack where only captain Kirby Myhill retains his spot in the starting XV. Welsh internationals Rhys Carre, Dillon Lewis, Seb Davies and Cory Hill join him in the tight five, while Josh Turnbull and Olly Robinson form an experienced flanker pairing and Sam Moore returns from injury to start at number eight.

In the backs the only personnel changes see Jamie Hill start at scrum-half and newly named British and Irish Lions winger Josh Adams slot in out wide, while there are positional switches for Ben Thomas, who moves from full-back to fly-half, and Hallam Amos, who shifts to full-back.

On the bench James Ratti drops down from starting against the Ospreys, while there are recalls for Brad Thyer, Kris Dacey, Jarrod Evans and Willis Halaholo, with the former of that list having not played since the game against Dragons on Boxing Day.

Cardiff Blues: Hallam Amos, Jason Harries, Owen Lane, Max Llewellyn, Josh Adams, Ben Thomas, Jamie Hill; Rhys Carre, Kirby Myhill (c), Dillon Lewis, Seb Davies, Cory Hill, Josh Turnbull, Olly Robinson, Sam Moore

Replacements: Kristian Dacey, Brad Thyer, Will Davies-King, Teddy Williams, James Ratti, Ellis Bevan, Jarrod Evans, Willis Halaholo
