Cardiff Rugby will have a blue and black alternate jersey next season as they and Macron respond to supporter wishes following the change of branding.
Following the news that ‘Blues’ would be dropped and the club embrace the history dating back to 1876, there was a clamour on social media for merchandise reflecting some of the great jerseys of the past, with hoops, quarters and the original skull and cross bones designs all discussed.
The home and away jerseys had already been agreed for the 2021/22 campaign ahead of the announcement, but according to the notes of the recent meeting between CF10 Arms Park Rugby Trust and Cardiff chief executive Richard Holland, the club have contacted Macron who have agreed to produce a third jersey featuring blue and black hoops.
An official jersey reveal will be held ahead of the new season, while Holland confirmed at the virtual supporter Q&A last week that an announcement on season tickets for next year is expected in the next two weeks.
When is the new kit available? Cant find ayone who knows, also cant wait to be back in hoops!!
