Pivac makes one change for Wales’ Grand Slam decider

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac has opted for just the solitary switch in the starting XV that beat Italy last week for the final round game against France with a Grand Slam on the line.

That change sees Adam Beard return to the second row, having been rested for the trip to Rome, alongside Alun Wyn Jones with Cory Hill dropping down to the replacements.

There are other new faces on the bench as Nicky Smith is preferred to Rhys Carre as the loosehead cover, James Botham is back as the back row option rather than Aaron Wainwright, and Tomos Williams is fit to be the backup scrum-half again in place of club mate and name sake Lloyd.

Jones, who captains the sides, will match Richie McCaw’s record of 148 caps for one nation when he takes the field at the Stade de France.

Wales: Liam Williams, Louis Rees-Zammit, George North, Jon Davies, Josh Adams, Dan Biggar, Gareth Davies; Wyn Jones, Ken Owens, Tomas Francis, Adam Beard, Alun Wyn Jones (c), Josh Navidi, Justin Tipuric, Taulupe Faletau

Replacements: Elliot Dee, Nicky Smith, Leon Brown, Cory Hill, James Botham, Tomos Williams, Callum Sheedy, Uilisi Halaholo
