Cardiff Blues will return to the Arms Park in a game setting on Friday afternoon when the Ospreys arrive for a friendly ahead of the final block of Guinness Pro14 fixtures.
The game will allow players who didn’t get much game time over the festive period, as well as those who are returning from injury, the chance to get some minutes under their belt before the league resumes with a trip to Galway to face Connacht the following Saturday.
The likes of Brad Thyer, Keiron Assiratti, Scott Andrews, Jamie Hill and Lewis Jones did not feature at all across the Welsh derbies, while Rhys Gill, Kirby Myhill, Will Boyde, Olly Robinson, Ellis Jenkins, Sam Moore, Harri Millard and Owen Lane have all been absent with injuries.
There are also a large number of players in the 18-23 age range who have not been able to further their development since a A team fixture against the Dragons back in October.
Friday’s game will kick-off at 2.30pm and be shown live by S4C on their website, Facebook and YouTube, with all three links down below.
