Cardiff Blues winger Owen Lane will start his first game since January as John Mulvihill’s men head to Edinburgh in the Guinness Pro14 on Monday night, 7.45pm kick-off.
The 22-year-old suffered a significant hamstring injury while training with Wales at the start of the year, before a groin problem kept him sidelined in August and then a shoulder injury picked up in pre-season has kept him out of the campaign so far.
He is one of six changes to the side that took the field in the loss to Ulster last week, replacing Matthew Morgan in the back three as Hallam Amos moves around to full-back.
Elsewhere Max Llewellyn is in for Rey Lee-Lo, who will miss a few weeks after being knocked unconscious last time out, while Jason Tovey starts at fly-half with Jarrod Evans picking up a leg injury and not being risked.
There is a change up front where Brad Thyer and Corey Domachowski swap places, while Olly Robinson returns to the starting XV as James Botham misses out with a shoulder injury.
On the bench Sam Moore is back in the matchday 23 as back row cover, while Ben Thomas could make his first appearance of the season as fly-half and centre cover.
