The head coach has named a 38-man squad with a number of changes already, and it may well be the case that we see some new faces replace the old guard who have been the spine of the team, but Pivac has to manage this properly.
This weekend the campaign gets off to a start away to France in Paris, with all eyes on the defence and transition play as Wales continue to adapt to a new way of playing.
