Cardiff Blues back rower Will Boyde is back in training ahead of the trip to Munster in the first Monday night Guinness Pro14 fixture in 10 days, as reported by WalesOnline’s Simon Thomas.
The 25-year-old hasn’t played since the defeat against the Scarlets when rugby restarted back in August after suffering a calf injury in training ahead of the 2020/21 season opener away in Zebre.
Boyde will now be available for selection at Thomond Park though, providing cover in a back row that will be without the Josh Navidi, due to his international call-up, and Josh Turnbull, who serves the second of a three game ban.
Simon Thomas also confirmed that Rory Thornton, James Ratti, Sam Moore and Aled Summerhill are all fit despite not featuring across the opening rounds, with Seb Davies, Cory Hill and Josh Adams all joining Navidi in the Wales squad.
Rhys Gill (bicep), Liam Belcher (groin), Keiron Assiratti (ankle), Ellis Jenkins (knee), Tomos Williams (shoulder), Mason Grady (ankle), Owen Lane (shoulder) and Jason Harries (knee) all remain in the treatment room, while Kirby Myhill’s prognosis is unknown after going off early against Connacht last weekend.
