Cardiff Blues forward Josh Turnbull is joining the coaching staff of Indigo Group Premiership side Carmarthen Quins when rugby returns.
The 32-year-old will join new head coach Craig Evans’ ticket as the former Cardiff RFC fly-half takes over from Emyr Phillips who steps down due to work and family commitments.
Turnbull has been at Cardiff Blues since 2014, making 135 appearances in that time, having come through the system at the Scarlets during which time he turned out once for Carmarthen. He also has 10 Wales caps to his name.
He has previous coached age grade sides at both of the regions he has played for, and been involved with coaching home town side Newcastle Emlyn.
In a season round-up, Carmarthen Quins chairman Jeff Davies said, “I am delighted to welcome Josh Turnbull to the coaching team. Josh will continue to play for Cardiff Blues and will work with the rest of the staff around his other rugby commitments.”
