Cardiff RFC sport six changes to the starting XV as the Blue and Blacks look to return to winning ways against Llanelli on Saturday at the Arms Park, 5.15pm kick-off.
The loss last week against Pontypridd was the first of the season but Steve Law’s men are still top of the Indigo Group Premiership table and the head coach has been boosted by the availability of two Cardiff Blues players in his squad this week.
Will Davies-King starts at tighthead to fix a problem position for the Blue and Blacks while Jason Harries will slot in at outside centre, a position he played in regularly during the early part of his career.
The other changes are tactical as Iestyn Harris starts ahead of Evan Yardley at hooker and James Thomas slides up to the second row with Zac O’Driscoll getting the nod at flanker.
In the backs Lewis Jones is preferred to Tom Habberfield at scrum-half and Ioan Davies makes his second start of the season at full-back, with Edd Howley shifting out to the wing.
Yardley, Matthew Petit and Habberfield drop down to the bench where they are joined by the recalled Kieran Martin and Lloyd Pike, while Dan Fish returns to fitness.
