Nick Williams is fit to start for Cardiff Blues against Scarlets on Friday as the Welsh festive derbies come to a close for the 2019/20 season at the Arms Park, 7.35 kick-off.
The big number eight is one of five changes to the starting XV that beat Dragons on Boxing Day with all five coming in the pack as John Mulvihill looks to take on the might of the Scarlets forwards.
A new propping combination of Rhys Gill and Scott Andrews will provide experience up front, while Filo Paulo is recalled to start in the second row.
In the back row Williams is joined by Will Boyde who starts on the openside against the club that released him at the end of last season. Josh Navidi moves across to blindside to accommodate the new faces.
James Ratti drops down to the bench with Brad Thyer, Seb Davies and Shane Lewis-Hughes not included at all. Corey Domachowski returns to the playing squad for the first time since Pau at home.
Kieron Assiratti is named on the bench but faces a late fitness test with Will Davies-King on standby if required.
