One change as Paulo debuts again for Cardiff Blues in Pau

John Mulvihill has had the luxury of sticking with almost exactly the same matchday 23 that beat Pau last week for the return game out in France on Friday night.

There is just one change to the starting XV as Filo Paulo makes his second Cardiff Blues debut having signed until the end of the season at the start of the month.

The Samoan international was at the Arms Park between 2013 and 2015, making 54 appearances in that team, before further two year stints with Benetton and London Irish, respectively. He represented his country at the recent Rugby World Cup.

His introduction means James Ratti drops down to the bench with Macauley Cook not involved in the matchday squad this week.

The only other change comes on the bench where Liam Belcher returns to action as cover at hooker with Ethan Lewis not involved.

Will Boyde will continue to captain the side from number eight and the back line remains unchanged as Ben Thomas makes his second Cardiff Blues start at the Stade du Hameau.

Cardiff Blues: Matthew Morgan, Owen Lane, Rey Lee-Lo, Ben Thomas, Josh Adams, Jarrod Evans, Tomos Williams; Rhys Gill, Kirby Myhill, Scott Andrews, Filo Paulo, Josh Turnbull, Shane Lewis-Hughes, Olly Robinson, Will Boyde (c)

Replacements: Liam Belcher, Corey Domachowski, Keiron Assiratti, James Ratti, Alun Lawrence, Lloyd Williams, Jason Tovey, Hallam Amos
