Cardiff Blues have continued the mission to tie down a number of U18 players on three-year Academy deals by securing the signature of tighthead prop Nathan Evans.
Evans is in the second year of his time with Cardiff Blues U18s, having previously been part of a Cardiff Blues U16 South side that finished second in the Regional Age Grade Championship back in the 2017/18 season.
He is also a member of the 1st XV Cardiff & Vale College/Cowbridge Comprehensive squad that compete in the WRU College League, alongside studying Building Services at CAVC.
Evans joins Ben Burnell, Efan Daniel, Ethan Fackrell, Mason Grady, Ethan Lloyd, Ryan Wilkins, Rhys Anstey, Alex Mann, Evan Lloyd, Jake Thomas and Theo Cabango in signing Academy contracts while members of the U18 squad, with stemming the flow of young players to England forefront at the mind of management at the Arms Park.
It caps a good week for the tighthead prop and CAVC/CCS as he has also been named in the Wales U18 initial training squad along with College team-mates Lewis Jones, Griff Naylor, Jake Thomas, Iestyn Galton and Harri Williams.
