Cardiff RFC have drawn Ebbw Vale in the second round of the Specsavers National Cup, with the tie to be played at the Arms Park on the weekend of the 8/9/10th November.
It will be the second time the teams will have faced off in the Welsh capital in a week, with the same league fixture taking place the weekend before. That game is currently scheduled for Saturday 2nd November, but both games are unconfirmed due to Cardiff Blues home games.
The Blue and Blacks made it to the second round of the Cup after beating RGC by a score of 24-40 on Saturday, with tries coming from Leon Andrews, Jack Brooks, Barney Nightingale and a brace from Morgan Allen, as well as the boot of Gareth Thompson.
Steve Law’s men are the defending champions having beaten Merthyr at the Principality Stadium in April to lift the trophy for the first time since 1997.
Cardiff last played the Steelmen back in May at the Arms Park when the home side won comfortably thanks to a huge 75-17 scoreline.
