Cardiff RFC have been hit with another early season injury blow as Nathan Hudd has been ruled out for the foreseeable future after suffering a broken arm.
The 22-year-old picked up the injury while playing for Cardiff Blues A against Ulster A in Belfast, having to depart inside the first 10 minutes of the game, and underwent surgery last week that will keep him sidelined for some time.
Hudd had only made his Cardiff RFC debut the week before, playing in the shortened games against St Peters and Glamorgan Wanderers, getting on the scoresheet against the former to open his Blue and Blacks account.
He joined over the summer having played for Newport, Cross Keys and Bedwas after graduating from the Dragons Academy. He also featured for the Dragons Premiership Select XV in the British and Irish Cup.
Hudd now joins Fraser Young, Tom Habberfield and Mathew Powell in the Cardiff RFC treatment room, with Steve Law hoping to avoid anymore injuries at this early stage of the season.
