Summerfest returns to the Arms Park this Saturday as Cardiff Blues celebrate the return of the rugby season with a day of activities and on-field action in the capital.
The event starts at 1pm and there’s plenty to do for all the family, with face painting, inflatables and Royal Navy activities on offer, as well as player led masterclasses, for the youngsters.
There will also be player signings and Q&A sessions, as well as a stadium tour taking you behind the scenes and into the inner sanctuary of the famous Cardiff Arms Park, and it will be the first opportunity to get your hands on the new 2019/20 Cardiff Blues home jersey.
Street food outlets will be on offer throughout the event, and the bars will be open, with Wales v Ireland shown on the big screen from 2pm as Warren Gatland’s men play for the last time before heading to Japan.
There will also be the opportunity to join the CF10 Arms Park Supporters Trust and have them show you around the Hubert Johnson Trophy Room, and join Cardiff Blues Supporters Club as well as book a place on the bus to Bedford Blues.
Then to cap the day off, at 4pm there is Celtic Cup action as Cardiff Blues A take the field against Dragons A, with Gethin Jenkins and T Rhys Thomas naming a strong home side containing a mix of experienced players and young talent.
Tickets for the event are £10 for adults and £5 for children, with season ticket holders getting in for free. This can be done either with last season’s card, or by contacting the ticket office for a paper ticket.
If last year’s event is anything to go by it will be another cracking day out, so get down to CAP on Saturday as the new Guinness Pro14 season edges ever closer.
