Steve Law will take his Cardiff RFC team to the Memorial Ground on Saturday for a mini-tournament against hosts Glamorgan Wanderers and St Peters RFC.
It will be the first action of the season for the Blue and Blacks, as preparations start for the 2019/20 Indigo Group Premiership season that gets underway on Friday 6th September at home to Pontypridd.
Saturday’s rugby will get underway at 2pm with Cardiff taking on St Peters up first, as The Rocks prepare for life in Division One East Central having earned promotion from Division Two East Central last season.
The second game will then see the Blue and Blacks take on the Wanderers, who themselves won promotion last season back to the WRU Championship.
Law will be without a number of players who have been called up to play for Cardiff Blues A in the Celtic Cup, but will still be able to select a core of players who made up the successful team of last season.
He will also take the chance to have a look at a number of young players signed over the summer, as well as a few permit players that may well be called upon during the course of the season.
If you are free on Saturday afternoon then get down to the Memorial Ground in Ely and support the Blue and Blacks as the squad prepare to go one step further than last year’s group.
