Owen Lane added to his growing collection of awards on Monday night as he won two of the Cardiff Blues Supporters Club end of season awards.
The 21-year-old picked up Player of the Year, and Junior Members’ Player of the Year, having scored 11 tries in 18 games last season and was named in the Wales pre-World Cup training squad on the back of his performances.
He adds the awards to the Welsh Rugby Writers’ Young Player of the Year accolade he picked up last week, having been named Peter Thomas Player of the Year in the Cardiff Blues end of season awards.
Lane shared the latter of the CBSC awards with Olly Robinson, who can also add the prize to a collection of his own, with the flanker having picked up Turnover King at the Guinness Pro14 awards, having been the Top Tackler in 2017/18.
The other award handed out by the Supporters Club was Newcomer of the Year, which was also shared between Harri Millard, who scored two tries in 13 games during a breakthrough campaign, and Jason Harries, who scored six tries in 17 games after signing from Edinburgh.
