Cardiff Met and Cardiff Uni will both start their 2019/20 BUCS Super Rugby campaigns on the road as the fixtures for the coming season were released this week.
Met, who challenged for most of the season before slipping to a fifth place finish and losing to Leeds Beckett in the quarter-finals last year, will travel down to Exeter in the first week of October.
Meanwhile Uni, who recovered from a disastrous first half of the season to finish eighth and qualify for the quarter-finals, losing in the last minute to table topping Exeter, will make the short hop across to Hartpury in the last week of September.
Home games will have to wait until October 16th for Met, when they welcome Loughborough to Cyncoed, while Uni take on Northumbria at Llanrumney on October 2nd.
The first Cardiff derby of the season will be hosted by Uni on December 11th, before Met play hosts on the 26th February. Both games took place at the Cardiff Arms Park last season.
There will also be an additional derby in 2019/20, with Swansea having secured promotion to Super Rugby at the end of last season. Met host them on December 4th, before going to St Helens on February 12th, while the Welsh Varsity will be recreated in Swansea on November 6th and in Cardiff on February 5th.
