Cardiff Blues have signed back rower Tim Grey from RGC 1404 on a short-term contract covering the upcoming Celtic Cup campaign.
The Rugby Paper have reported that the 23-year-old has linked up with the club for pre-season, with Cardiff Blues coaches keeping an eye on his progress in training and while playing for Cardiff Blues A.
From Yorkshire originally, Grey moved to Llandudno when he was young and was raised in North Wales, coming through the academy system with RGC before progressing to the first team.
He was named in the Wales U20 squad for the U20 Six Nations in 2016, alongside fellow North Walian Rhun Williams, who were teammates at Parc Eirias at the time.
An all-action back-rower, he was worn six, seven and eight for RGC, was third on the Indigo Group Premiership turnover charts at the mid-point of last season, and is a regular on the try scorers list. He will compete with the likes of James Botham, Alun Lawrence and Ioan Rhys Davies for Cardiff Blues A game time.
