Cardiff RFC have confirmed they will have two weekends of pre-season games in late August as they prepare for the 2019/20 campaign.
The Blue and Blacks will return to on-field action on Saturday 24th August with a round-robin day of fixtures against local sides St Peter’s and Glamorgan Wanderers, with the action getting underway from 2pm at the Memorial Ground, the home of the Wanderers.
The Rocks, coached by Cardiff Blues U16 South coach Dai Griffiths, will visit the Arms Park as they prepare for life in Division One East Central having won Two East Central last season, while Glamorgan Wanderers are also on the back of a promotion, returning to the Championship thanks to a play-off win over Brecon.
Then the following Friday night, the 30th, Cardiff will travel to Bedwas, the former side of head coach Steve Law, for a contest at the Bridge Field, as the Gwent side also get ready for Championship life having been one of the teams relegated from the Premiership last season.
Law will be looking to test his new-look squad, after making 19 new signings, as the Blue and Blacks aim to go one better than second place in the Indigo Group Premiership, as well as retain the Specsavers Cup.
