Hooker Kirby Myhill will stay at the Arms Park after signing a new contract with Wales’ Capital Region.
There was speculation the 27-year-old could be moving on this summer, having not featured regularly in the first team, but that now ends as he puts pen to paper.
He has made 51 appearances since arriving from Scarlets in the summer of 2016, mainly playing backup to Kristian Dacey and Matthew Rees in that time.
With Smiler out injured, Myhill featured heavily at the start of the season, but only played twice after the New Year, both games coming against Ospreys in the Pro14.
He will hope to get more minutes under his belt as he competes with Ethan Lewis and Liam Belcher to put pressure on Dacey next season.
Speaking to the Cardiff Blues official website, he said “I’m obviously really happy to be staying at the Blues for another few years and I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far.
