The second round draw for the Welsh Rugby Union National Cup was made on Tuesday, with Cardiff RFC drawn to make the long trip North to face RGC.
Ties will be played on the weekend of the 26th January, with Blue and Blacks supporters facing the possibility of travelling to Colwyn Bay twice in less than two months, as the league fixture at Parc Eirias is scheduled for the last weekend in March.
Cardiff RFC have made it this far after beating Championship side Tata Steel on the weekend, with 11 tries securing a 43-73 in an unlikely scoreline. Ed Howley and Will Rees-Hole both bagged a brace as part of a high scoring game.
RGC overcame Newport RFC with a 17-35 scoreline in a game played at our own Cardiff Arms Park due to the unavailability of Rodney Parade.
Elsewhere, Cardiff Blues regional sides Pontypridd and Merthyr are both drawn at home, with Llanelli and Ebbw Vale the respective opponents, while Cardiff Met host Premiership side Bedwas at Cyncoed.
